Emily Walsh is the daughter of Matt Walsh, who from his perch on Longboat Key has turned the Sarasota Observer into a mouthpiece for “Pay to Play” developers by endorsing some of the most ineffective City Commissioners financed by those developers.
Emily Walsh has followed in her father’s footsteps making $millions in advertising from the those developers flocking into Sarasota turning it into just another urban sprawl community for wealthy retirees seeking sunshine, fine restaurants, golf, fishing and other “pleasures of the harbor” as working class individuals lacking afforability are fleeing the city.

Jennifer Rominiecki is the carpetbagger from New York, who parachuted into Sarasota turning Selby Gardens into a gathering of the white social elites at galas reminiscing of the Plantation Mentality of Sarasota’s racist past.

Rominiecki led the successful campaign to take out Sarasota City Commissioner Willie Shaw by a token Black politician Kyle Battie, who is deep in the pockets of those making $millions turning the City of Sarasota into an enclave of wealthy white folks flocking to Sarasota.
The Tara on the Bay Selby Gardens $90 million parking garage and restaurant destroying the ambiance of the surrounding neighborhoods.
Rominiecki was looking for a “Black leader” in District 1, who had no problem with the $90 million parking garage and a Michael Klauber restaurant at Selby Gardens where the white social elite clientele wine
and dine.
Shaw had called out the racist hiring practice’s at Klauber’s, Michael’s on East restaurant and voted against Klauber and Rominiecki’s outrageous intrusion of the surrounding neighborhoods, while Battie went-along-to get long when elected the Sarasota City Commissioner.
Rominieecki is now promoting her former New York security guard stay at home husband to be another one of her “waterboys”, as a City of Sarasota Commissioner.

SHUGAR/CLERMONT/VOELKER LED ARTS AND CULTURE COALITION CORRUPTING CITY HALL
Joining the “Foursome” calling the City of Sarasota Home are Dan Clermont, Ronnie Shugar and Chris Voelker, who have been promoting along with others begining in 2015 electing City Commissioners like Battie and Hagen Brody, who was the failed local States Attorney and misogynist holding City Hall women officials in a near hostage situation for over two hours..
These UNI Party Commissioners since 2015 have turned the City of Sarasota, which was once led by neigborhood activists with working class class families children, whose children attended neighborhod schools into an enclave of wealthy white retirees, who educated their children "Up North."

Voelker operates out of her watering hole on States Street in Downtown Sarasota where Battie worked for Voelker, as a greeter and part time bartender before the Arts and Culture Coalition placed him and other Commissioners in the pockets of “Pay to Play” developers.

Shugar operates out of his Shugar Champagne Bar in downtown Sarasota with a $150 minimum spend requirement per person, per reservation.

Clermont enjoys doing business having a cocktail and cigar hanging out at a establishment called the Waterworks, which caters to a high-end clientele, mostly people who own or run a business, whose owner Robin Jennings wants his business to be a secret.

The THREE BRO's - Arroyo/Brody/Battie'
Arroyo was part of a UNI Party trio called the THREE BRO's, which turned City Hall into a total Shit Show while promoting an enclave of wealthy white retirees, as the past racial gentrification of Black neighborhoods has been renewed.
Merrill III and Robinson
The THREE BRO UNI Party Commission has now in 2024 become a Sarasota City Commission made up of five ineffective so called liberal Democrat Commissioners like Battie, who ironically are controlled by UNI Party establishment Republicans, Attorney David Merrill III at the Icard/Merrill law firm and Christine Robinson at the Argus Foundation.
The PAC, which financed the creation of the 2024 UNI Party Commission was the Sarasota Arts and Culture Coalition (SACC) with with a trio of Clermont as Chairman, Voelker as Vice Chair and Shugar as the Treasurer.
The trio had a leadership committee, which included Joel Morganroth, Andrew Economos, Dick Rivera, Rob Rominecki, Margaret Wise, Nikki Sedacca, David Bass, Susan North, Mary Anne Meyer and Dean Scarborough.
Contributors to the SACC PAC included among many others "Arts and Culture" UNI Party social elitist’s Terri Hansen, Kim Githler, Robert Rominiecki, Ian Black, Pat Neal with $5,000, Shugar with $25,000 and $25,000 from a dark LLC named Friends of Sarasota's Arts & Culture managed by Nancy Watkins out of Tampa.
Watkins is a Tampa based bag lady moving $millions of dirty dark monies from hundreds of PAC and LLC for individuals like those involved with the Arts and Culture Coalition. Those individuals, who are part of a Sarasota UNI Party who could less if a liberal Democrat or a Conservative Republican control a City Hall, a County Commission, a State House or the White House.
All they are concerned about is that they control those in leadership positions at a City Hall, a County Commission, a State House or the White House.
Watkins, who moved dark dirty PAC money for the Sarasoa UNI Party Arts and Culture Coalition is the campaign finance guru and prominent figure in conservative politics, who was recently appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD).
THE WATKINS MANAGED PAC FINANCED COALITION CANDIDATES
The Arts and Culture Coalition PAC managed by Watkins out of Tampa was the major financing part to elect the Coalition's handpicked City Commissioners to seize control of City Hall. Those Commissioners will continue the racial gentrification of City of Sarasota neighborhoods, while turning the City into a enclave of wealthy white childless retirees descending on Sarasota.
The Coalition handpicked candidates in 2024, Battie, Arroyo and Liz Alpert benefited from the Sarasota Arts and Cultural Coalition PAC based in Tampa office by expediting over $95,000 to a company out of Gainesville Florida called Data Targeting to be one of their major political consultants.

The counsultant owner of Data Targeting, Inc., is Pat Bainter, a powerful devious Republican political operative based in Gainesville, who was recently involved with former Florida Senator Frank Artiles being criminally convicted and sentenced for election campaign violations concerning a "Ghost" candidate in Miami.
The Arts and Culture Coalition UNI Party cndidates were heavily financed, endorsed and supported by among others--the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce, the Argus Foundation, the “Pay to Play” developers Gulf Coast Builders Exchange (GCBX). multimillion dollar local foundations and the Sarasota Observer.
The EQUALITY Florida organization endorsement of Sarasota Arts and Culture Coalition candidates have been critical endorsement of their candadates.

LGBTQ political operatives led by Gabriel Hament have been active since 2015 when they were heavily involved in defeating City Commissioneres Eileen Normile and Stan Zimmerman.

Hament has continued to be active in campaigning for UNI Party candidates endodsed by EQUALITY Florida and supported by the Arts and Culture Coalition, while more qualified candidates received no such endorsements or support.

SOME OF THE BEST AND BRIGHTEST CITY COMMISSIONERS NOT ELECTED
Since 2015 it is troublesome that some of the most qualified City of Sarasota Commissioners were defeated by UNI Party candidates, which were some of the most unqualified City Commissioner ever to run for the Sarasota City Commission.
In 2O15 and 2017 three of most HIGHLY qualified and effective Commissioners defeated were Susan Chapman, Eileen Normile and Stan Zimmerman.
Others most HIGHLY qualified candidates defeated were Terry Turner, Dan Lobeck and Ronald Kashden.

THE ARTS AND CULTURE COALITION HAS FORMED TWO NEW PAC FOR THE 2026 ELECTION CYCLE
The Sarasota Arts and Culture Coalition is now getting organized to elect more UNI Party City Commissioners with the SACC PAC now called People for Arts and Culture Sarasota PAC with Clermont as Chairman and Shugar as Treasurer. Voelker and Chris Lynch have recently created another PAC called Sarasota PAC.
No doubt both PAC’s working together to promote the UNI Party agenda in the 2026 election cycle to elect among others, Jenniffer Rominieecki’s stay at home unemployed former security guard husband a City Commissioner.
