At Tuesday's (11/18/25) Sarasota School Board meeting a major issue on the agenda was to have a prayer said after the pledge of alliance to open School Board meetings.

In anticipation of the prayer issue among other items on the agenda to be brought up, the Save Our Schools (SOS) founder Lisa Schurr gathered her usual band of fellow travelers to oppose the prayer issue along with opposing 10 AM School Board meetings and appointing Tom Edwards Chairman of the School Board, as Edwards would look on with approval.

What happened Tuesday and is usual now at School Board meeting is that Zander Moricz, who is a prominent LGBTQ political operative shows up with high school students he grooms to demonstrate and read three- minute speeches at Scholl Board meetings in support of Schurr's Gang.

What is a usual nonoccurrance at School Board meetings the past two years is the absence of local Sarasota County Republican Party members under the leadership of SREC Chairman Jack Brill not packing the hall taking on the liberal Democrats pushing their agenda.

This grooming of young students of Moricz takes place at Moricz's headquarters in Downtown Sarasota where a Moricz organization called Social Equity and Education Initiative (SEE) is being financed by Jason Champion and a few others.
Under Moricz's leadership, SEE is to groom young high school students to demonstrate with Schurr's Gang at local school board meetings, which has caused chaos and disruption creating a Culture War lasting for over two years.

A major part of Moricz's SEE "gig" is after dropping out of Harvard and being provided significant funding in promoting the LGBTQ agenda in Sarasota and beyond is to groomed students to promote the LGBTQ agenda.

At the Tuesday School Board meeting. Moricz's students were expected to protest, as they usually do before the School Board meeting and deliver Moricz-approved, rehearsed speeches lasting three minutes.
Moricz had promised his adopted “God Mother Schurr” he would pack the hall in support of Schurr and her “Gang.”

A Schurr led “Gang”, who for the last two years have turned School Board meetings into hours of bored woman and very few men with nothing better to do going on-and-on attacking Sarasota County School members, especially Board Member Bridget Ziegler, with the women having a weird perverse obsession with Ziegler's private life.
Tuesday was to be another repeat of Schurr/Moricz monthly School Board meeting “gaggle”, as for over three hours the Schurr “Gang” and Moricz groomed students would go on-and-on about no prayer, no 10 AM meetings, desiring two meetings a month and electing Edwards Chairman of the Board.
It made difference to Schurr and her fellow travelers that the Sarasota County Commission and Hospital Board meet in the early hours of the day and not at 6 PM, as Schurr requests.
Unfortunately for the Schurr Gang, Moricz was unable to provide the foot soldiers that he promised to deliver to rock the boat, as he put it.
Moricz promised to deliver his groomed students gathered from all the high schools in Sarasota. The only students that showed up to “rock the boat” were two students from Booker High School and a few former students, who are part of the Moritz “cult.”

Those Moricz ”cult” members, who “hang out” at Moricz’s SEE Alliance clubhouse in Downtown Sarasota where they are groomed by Moricz to demonstrate and speak at School board meeting must have rather “hung out” at school than with Moricz and his “Godmother Schurr”.
As the meeting began without the Moricz promised students from every high school in Sarasota the usual Schurr gaggle ensued.
For over three hours the Schurr Gang and the few Moricz cult members gaggled on pushing for no prayer, no 10 AM meeting, desiring two meetings a month and electing Edwards Chairman of the Board. Two ministers from self-proclaimed "Progressive" Churches joined in with Schuur and her fellow travelers.
Once that all ended after a short recess, the School Board got on with the business they were elected to do. But not Edwards. He took off saying he had an appointment to read to students.
It is commendable to see Edwards read to students, but that is not his No. 1 priority. His No. 1 priority is taking care of School Board business and that includes attending School Board meetings from beginning to end.

Edwards left his supporters in favor of no prayer, no 10 AM meeting, two School Board meeting a month and to elect him Chairman of the Board to read to students. Edwards left his soul mate School Board member Liz Barker to push the Schurr/Moricz agenda, as he he rushed out the door.
Prayer to be read before the school Board meeting was passed with a 3-1 vote. 10 AM School Board meetings was passed 3-1, as were two School Board a month not approved. School Board member Karen Rose, Robyn Marinelli and Ziegler were the three votes, who voted for prayer before meetings and 10 AM meetings. Barker was the one vote against prayer and 10 AM meetings.
Barker nominated the absent Edwards off reading to students for Chairman of the School Board, while Rose nominated Ziegler for Chairman of the School Board. Ziegler won by a similar 3-1 vote.
Speaking of priorities, what is Edwards No. 1 priority?
Is Edwards’ No. 1 priority being a full-time School Board member and moonlighting, as the Executive Director of Sarasota Pride?
Is Edwards No. 1 priority being Executive Director of Sarasota Pride and moonlighting, as a Sarasota County School Board member?
It must have had the Schurr Gang along with the LGBTQ political operative Moricz having a meltdown to observe Ziegler being appointed Chairman of the School Board.
They thought they had destroyed her political career after they along with other Ziegler haters by publicly repeating inside leaked information from the Sarasota Police Department (SPD), which was gathered illegally and violated Ziegler's Constitutional rights.
Schurr and her Ziegler haters need be careful in repeating information gathered illegally and unconstitutionally. Lawsuits have been filed against the City of Sarasota and two SPD detectives concerning that illegal unconstitutional gathered information.
Another meltdown Moricz must be having, which is seeing Charlie Kirk’s TPUSA organizations being formed in every High School in Sarasota County and beyond.
