The bogus criminal charges on Ziegler were leaked to Ziegler's political enemies and media outlets, who rushed to judgement on Ziegler with false information from two Sarasota Police Department detectives. False information and information procured from illegal filed affidavits ruled by a Sarasota Judge Hunter Carroll violated Ziegler's Constitutional rights.
It makes little sense that Ziegler’s is replaced for a crime he never committed while his successor, Power was arrested for drunk driving after crashing into a tree one night in Tallahassee and then elected to succeed Ziegler.
