All of those Sarasota County voters, who have been drinking the Kool Aid that Sarasota County Commissioners Tom Knight and Joe Neunder would take on the corruption at the Commission under the control of “Pay to Play” developers led by Pat Neal went up in smoke yesterday.

Many Sarasota County voters who have been drinking the Kool Aid expecting Sarasota County Commissioners Knight and Neunder to curb developer-driven corruption witnessed Knight and Neunder joining Commissioners Ron Cutsinger and Teresa Mast sucking up to the notorious political operative Anthony Pedicini and Carlos Beruff flunky, Bill Galvano.

The Manatee based Pedicini/Beruff Pedicini/Beruff flunky summoned to the Sarasota County Commission by the local gangsters, who control both Manatee and Sarasota Government was the Republican establishment former Florida State Senate President Galvano.
According to Florida Politics reporting of Pedicini Shit Show in Manatee County, “Anthony (Pedicini) has been an invaluable member of my team since my first House race, to working to maintain a Republican Senate Majority during the 2018 cycle,” said Bill Galvano. “I am proud of my good friend Anthony (Pedicini) and the entire Strategic Image Management team on their success.”

Galvano was summoned down to Sarasota from Manatee County by his fellow mob attorneys at the Icard/Merrill law firm, who were having a problem pushing a Siesta Key project for a developer named Mike Holderness.

Holderness is a developer on Siesta Key well known for his numerous “encounters” with Siesta Key activists Mike Consentino over environment issues on properties owned by the two.
Holderness was once charged with one felony count of “Robbery by Sudden Snatching without a Firearm or Weapon, plus one felony count of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence after an incident involving Cosentino.
Holderness knew one connected to the Beruff/Pat Neal/Randy Benderson/Rex Jensen Mafia type family like Galvano could pull off the rip off Sarasota County taxpayers, which took place at the Downtown Sarasota Commission offices yesterday.
Ramirez
Despite well documented information supplied by Siesta Key neighborhood activists Lourdes Ramirez and two other activities loaded with well documented information to the County Commissioners, four of the five County Commissioners sold out the taxpayers of Sarasota County. Commissioner Mark Smith voted against the sell-out.
Ramirez had stated before this heist took place, “This has to stop. In November 2024, the County initially agreed to exchange public beach front land purchased in 2017 for $1.4 million with our taxpayer funded Neighborhood Parkland Acquisition program for four privately
owned parcels collectively valued at approximately $84,000 according to the property appraiser, and to pay the owner an additional $500,000 as part of a possible settlement."

Ramirez continued, " The property owner put up No trespassing signs with some type of fencing to prevent people from crossing his property. When the County refused, he sued them. The County could have figured out another way to deal with this than give away valuable land.”

Despite objections, four County Commissioners -Ron Cutsinger, Teresa Mast, Knight and Neuder-- exchanged County properties with Holderness properties. Mast and Cutsinger needed no encouragement from Galvano to vote for scandelous exchange-they are found deep in the corrupt Neal/Beruff/Benderson County Commission operation.
Properties exchange is so unbelievable that only witnessing it first hand would convince someone such a rip-off occurred.
For example, the four County Commissioners voted to exchange Sarasota County owned property worth 1.4 million for Holderness owned properties presently appressed at $84.000!
In addition, the Beruff/Pedicini flunky Galvano was able to have Commissioners Cutsinger, Knight, Mast and Neunder to put a cherry on top of the property exchange with a $500,000 kiss to Holderness.
Smith
Commissioner Mark Smith, who is a long-time resident of Siesta Key and represents Siesta Key, as mentioned above voted against this rip-off give away of public land.
The argument put up by Galvano that these Holderness properties are prime beach front property was absurd for it was widely known these properties are submerged during any tropical storm.
Has anyone ever heard of four beachfront properties on Siesta Key assessed at $84,000 if there was not a problem with the properties?

Sitting next to Holderness while Galvano conducting this heist was his Sarasota Icard/Merrill law firm Attorney Matthew Brockway observing Galvano representing those who control the political future of those who desire moving on to the Tallahassee swamp. Galvano was conveying to them a clear message, which was any County Commissioner considering their political future: support is contingent upon specific actions.
Many a County Commissioner political career ended when they EVER strayed away from a KEY vote for those who rule Sarasota County. Just ask former Sarasota County Commissioner Paul “Fredo” Caragiulo when he voted against James Gabbert putting a dump next to the Celery Fields.
Holderness is the owner of Beachside Management and operates The Big Tiki Lounge and the Siesta Key Beach Resort and Suites. No doubt, Holderness will be adding to his Beachside Management with his new $1.4 million property and the $5OO,000 kiss from the County, as he dumped to the County his $84,000 property, which will be long gone after a few tropical storms.

Ramirez, who successfully sued Sarasota County over violations of zoning regulations, in 2023 hired a court reporter to record the County Commissioners meeting of this give away of public land.
