BARFIELD THE HIT MAN FOR THE SARASOTA UNIPARTY IS SUEING THE NATIONAL ACLU TO TAKE BACK CONTROL OF ACLU FL. IN A SARASOTA COURTROOM
BARFIELD IS SEEKING A LOCAL HOME COOKED DUBENSKEY JUDGEMENT
"NO QUESTION WHEREVER 68 CONVICTED FELON CON MAN’S CON MAN GOES TROUBLE FOLLOWS"
Michael Barfield, the local UNI PARTY “Con Man’s Con Man,” has gained national attention recently in leading the narrative that exposed the scandalous lifestyles of Christian and Bridget Ziegler. It seems he is on a roll. Now he is involved in leading a false narrative in a lawsuit filed against the national ACLU. And it’s all unfolding in a Sarasota court room.
Barfield, who was the former President of the ACLU FL before being deposed has joined along with six other former ACLU FL. board members in filing a lawsuit against the national ACLU after they were removed, which followed an investigation by the national ACLU organization over a year ago.
The decision to file the lawsuit in Sarasota instead of Miami should raise eyebrows. The lawsuit would be more convenient to be filed closer to where six of the seven plaintiffs live: Broward County, Palm Beach County or Miami-Dade County. Only Barfield lives hundreds of miles away in Sarasota.
"NO QUESTION WHEREVER THE 68 CONVICTED FELON CON MAN’S CON MAN GOES TROUBLE FOLLOWS"
Barfield has been in the center of the constant conflict between the national ACLU and ACLU FL. ever since he arrived in Miami to be the President of the ACLU FL..
Kubic and Lennon
Since Barfield's has been President of ACLU FL. their been now four Executive Directors of the ACLU FL.. During Barfield's tenure in that post, four individuals have held Howard Simon’s old job of Executive Director: Micah Kubic from January 2019-2022, Amy Turkel from January-September 2022 and Tiffani Lennon from September 2022 to August 2023.
Simon
Simon is now the fourth E.D, as he returns replacing Lennon to be the E.D after serving for 21 years, as the E.D. of the ACLU FL..
Just as former U.S Federal Judge Richard Lazzara said about Barfield when he sentenced the 68 CONVICTED felon Barfield to 10 years in federal prison in 1997, Barfield is “A CON MAN’S CON MAN” and “no question about it wherever he goes trouble follows him.”
BARFIELD LAWSUIT FLYING UNDER THE RADAR
For some reason, this high profile Barfield lawsuit has been flying under the radar in Sarasota. It seems that the local media, “led” by the Sarasota Herald Tribune (SHT), is more interested in the salacious sex lives of the Ziegler’s. A saga that has had Barfield’s fingerprints all over it for months.
Symanowska
Gabriela Szymanowska, who covers the legal system for the SHT in partnership with Report for America has nowhere to be seen, as the "Con Man's Con Man" leads a false narrative in his lawsuit against the national ACLU in a Sarasota courtroom.
Carroll
No Sarasota Herald Tribune reporter was in a Sarasota courtroom on 12/20/2023 when 12TH Judicial District Judge, Hunter Carroll denied the motion of Miami based Holland and Knight attorney, Jose Casal, to dismiss Barfield’s outrageous lawsuit against the ACLU
Casal and Lehtinen
Attorney Casal, along with attorney Dougla Lehtinen, both from the Holland and Knight law firm are representing the national ACLU.
Rodriquez/Bentley/Benderson
BENTLEY: THE CON MAN’S CON MAN UNIPARTY ATTORNEY
Barfield has hired the local UNI PARTY attorney Morgan Bentley, as his attorney in the lawsuit. Bentley was the attorney for local "Pay to Play" developer Henry Rodriquez, who along with another "Pay to Play" developer Randy Benderson was sued by Hugh Culverhouse Jr. for being defrauded by Rodriquez and Benderson.
Culverhouse
Culverhouse was awarded over $20 million by a six member jury, but that decision was overturned by what has been called a home cooked "DUBENSKY JUGEMENT" named after local Judge Peter Dubensky, who overturned the jury's $20 million judgement to Culverhouse.
ACLU ACTED AGAINST BARFIELD AND OTHERS AFTER INTERNAL REVIEW
According to statements filed and argued by ACLU Holland and Knight attorneys in a Sarasota Courtroom recently:
On August 18, 2022, all eight leaders from ACLU-FL’s senior staff submitted a letter to ACLU National requesting intervention by ACLU National due to “long-standing, systemic problems at the Affiliate, including a flawed organizational structure and an adverse work environment.”
This letter was submitted with the full support and endorsement of the two previous ACLU-FL Executive Directors.
The New York-based ACLU said it had to act after an internal review found an “accelerating crisis” in the Florida affiliate caused by the “chronically dysfunctional” state board.
On December 18, 2022, the Executive Committee of the ACLU National Board approved the creation of an Evaluation Team to investigate the conditions at ACLU-FL.
National ACLU Investigators found “dysfunctions consumed the Board at the expense of programmatic work and negatively impacted the culture and dynamic between the Board and staff for years,” ACLU spokesperson Gaby Guadalupe wrote in a statement.
Minority women “were mistreated by disrespectful, unprofessional, aggressive and sometimes verbally abusive behavior directed at them,” the statement says.
The Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of ACLU National detailed the reasons ACLU-FL was placed under Involuntary Administrative Supervision, and the reasons justifying the removal of Barfield and others as directors of ACLU-FL.
Involuntary Administrative Supervision was imposed because “(i) The Florida Affiliate Board is chronically dysfunctional and not capable of leading the organization; (ii) The Florida Affiliate staff, including women of color, have been subjected to discriminatory treatment, and the Affiliate Board has been unwilling or unable to take corrective action; (iii) The Affiliate organizational structure undermines effective governance.”
The situation at ACLU-FL was “an accelerating crisis-one that is years in the making, during which numerous affiliate-driven attempts at reform have taken place and failed.”
ACLU National’s investigation into ACLU-FL “found no indication, from interviews or from the documentation, that the [ACLU-FL] Board attempted to initiate investigation of the allegations of mistreatment until February 2023, after National announced its intent to contract an independent investigation.”
YEAR LONG INVESTIGATION LEADS TO ACLU FL BOARD REMOVAL
In August of 2022, ACLU staffers filed a formal complaint against the state board headed by Barfield. The national office then mounted an investigation that ended by blaming Barfield and the board for what it called “the creation of a hostile work environment.
BARFIELD’S FALSE NARRATIVE
The ACLU investigative group, “categorically disputes” the former directors’ false narrative claims that their removal was due to partisan political activity.
According to ACLU spokesperson Guadalupe, Barfield and others were not removed because of “substantive policy disagreements” or “over such issues as partisan political activity, mission drift away from core civil liberties issues towards socio-economic justice, or the ACLU-FL board of directors’ attempt to exercise oversight over its own staff relative to these disagreements,” as alleged by Barfield and other deposed board members.
“The ACLU of Florida and its national office remain committed to upholding the organization’s core values and commitments to the nonpartisan defense of civil liberties and free speech,” Guadalupe wrote.
Guadalupe called Barfield’s allegations “an effort to mislead the public about the underlying facts within the complaint,” implying that Barfield and others fabricated statements in a court document.
IS THE HIT MAN FOR LOCAL UNI PARTY LOOKING FOR A HOME COOKED JUDICIAL DECISION ?
Barfield likely had no trouble persuading his fellow deposed ACLU FL board members to file the lawsuit in Sarasota. As the “Hit Man” for the local establishment UNI PARTY, Barfield brings into question the legitimacy of local legal proceedings.
Lyons/Williams/Tryon
The concern about impartiality is not unwarranted, as the legal proceedings may be influenced by outside interests. Those outside interests include Barfield for years being the favorite of the Sarasota Herald Tribune columnist Tom Lyons, Tom Tryon, Lee “Harvey” Williams and local Sarasota law enforcement.
Neal
The potential influence of outside interests and the impartiality of the judicial system controlled by "'Pay to Play" developer Pat Neal are concerns that cannot be ignored. Barfield’s recent reporting on the salacious lives of Bridget and Christian Ziegler- coming from “un named sources connected to the investigation”- give evidence to the influence of Barfield’s outside interests.
NEXT
The Barfield Seven lawsuit is being filed in Sarasota County for no other reason that the Hit Man for the local Sarasota establishment UNI PARTY expects a payback from those, who he has assisted as the Hit Man for the local UNIPARTY.
